I Found It!!

Doh! Some 1 of you may remember that back in March we visited Callaway Gardens and I {thought} that my memory card ate lost all my pictures … OR that my eldest daughter had somehow deleted them when I found her messing with my camera while we were packing up to come home. Well …  lo and behold while packing for our last camping adventure I cleaned out a backpack and there I found a memory card! I apologize to any family members {Lydia} I accused of accidentally deleting them while messing with my camera (don't mess with my camera!).

This is the Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel at Callaway Gardens.  When I was taking pictures of this chapel I had been dreaming of making this dreamy … ♥ … and now I can … and I did :)

That is all …

Short Trip

Hubby and I went on a very much-needed vacation last week.  It was nice.  It was for our 13th wedding anniversary.  And it was too short.  When we travel we like to stay in homes and apartments and cabins rather than hotels (if we can help it).  So we VRBO'd (hey - I think I just made up a term I like) our little trip and stayed in a cute little cabin in Blue Ridge, GA.  By the way … you can find all kinds of places to stay on VRBO, from cabins in the mountains (that are cheaper than hotels and B&Bs) to apartments in NYC (one of our next adventures with VRBO!).

We needed the time to be together … just the two of us.  We do so enjoy each other's company.  You may not know this, but we were best friends before we ever thought about dating each other.  And that friendship is still there and provides a strong foundation for our sometimes tumultuous marriage!

I &hearts him!!  He makes me ☺

So my wonderful mom kept the girls for us while we ventured off to Blue Ridge.  It rained the entire way there, but we didn't care.  We talked a little and listened a lot to The Help on CD.

We were pleased with our cabin (we've never been disappointed with any place we've rented with VRBO).  It was tucked deep in the woods on top of a mountain and it was just right … private, mountain view, hot tub on the porch … what more could you want?  Blue Ridge itself did leave a lot to be desired (by us anyway) … more about that later.  I just wanted to share a few of our pix from where we stayed ...
