Neighbor Gifts and Homemade Bows

I am officially done with gifts … other than frosting my yummy chocolate cake for my family for Christmas day! But I wanted to share my neighbor gifts with you …

I saw this idea on Pinterest. I ♥ Pinterest! I knew I wanted to do this, so I found some HoHos and Ding Dongs and went to work. I made my own bows from magazine pages (again, I found the idea here on Pinterest … did I mention that I ♥ Pinterest??).

My homemade bows - aren't they great?

These make me smile … I love how they turned out :) … and the bows … well, I just ADORE them … I think there will be more of those to come!

Hubby and I have so much fun together. Have I ever told you that we were best friends before we began dating? We always (well, not always - but that's a long story for another time) have enjoyed each other's company. So when we get away together, just the two of us, we don't act like we're 40 (well, I'm not yet 40, but he is - I feel the need to point that out) … we feel and act like kids again:

Today was a dreary day. When we arrived home from church we promptly got into our PJs and laid around all afternoon. Of course, I wanted to take some pix and see if I could get one that I wanted to use for my Project 365. But like I said, it was a lazy kind of day. So I took some photos while I was lying in the bed. I took some of my PJs that I ♥, I took some of my girls. But my favorite was this one:

Brandon was looking at something on one of his many guns. As I was shooting him he said, "I'm going to shoot you!" I thought it best at that point to put the camera down ;-)

I like silliness. Sometimes my outtakes are intentional just to lighten up the mood and get people to relax. And sometimes they're not. Regardless I always enjoy looking at them ...

The first one is my sis-in-law's family ...
They're all nuts! Just kidding ;-)

The next two are some dear friends I shot back in the fall ...

And these last two are one of the most fun families I have ever shot:


As a matter of fact, that last one became such a favorite of theirs that they ordered multiple prints of it.

I have such a good time shooting my clients. I hope for many more opportunities in the coming year!
