Why I Wanted 2 Mantles

I ♥ to decorate for fall.  It's my favorite time of year.  Spring would be my favorite, except for all the sneezing and wanting to gouge my eyes out!

The fall/Thanksgiving buntings are completed ♥ …

My main mantle on my real fireplace in the living room (I think I shall rename this the den, or perhaps the family room):

And my {new} mantle in my what-the-heck-am-I-gonna-call-it?? room:

Okay …. so I haven't shared my {new} mantle before now … I ♥ it soooo much!!!  The other day Brandon said that *maybe* it's too big for the room!  GASP!!  Perish the thought!!

I have no idea how old it is, but it does have quite an old tag on the back from the Majestic Mantle Company, Inc. - Atlanta, GA. The company no longer exists. I would love to know where it came from … there is a number on it and everything.  Curious … curious ...

Anyway, now I'm ready for Thanksgiving!

  2. Love it! The pictures and the story behind the mantle really has me wanting to know more. Let us know if you find out anything new about the old mantle.

  3. LOVE it!! And Heather, where did you find that red paper with the doily flower thingies on it?? I've gotta have some of it!! Oh, in Statham, there is an estate sale and they had old records advertised on the ad. Maybe if you look on Craigslist you'll see it. I was looking for a scooter and landed upon that...Looks promising{a vintage wonderland}, but I haven't gone yet...
