Drapery Delight

If you know me then you know I like alliteration. So Drapery Delight was a fabulous title for this post. I use that word a lot lately … fabulous. I like it. But I digress …

My sweet hubby gave me the go-ahead to buy curtains for the living room that we are redecorating. So we added that into our list of errands to run this afternoon. And, of course, while we were in the back of Bed, Bath & Beyond looking at curtains and draperies (of which I couldn't find what I wanted) Grace had to go potty right.at.that.moment. So we walked over and the girls went into the potty while I waited outside in the bedding section. And what should be waiting for me? Amy Butler bedding.

Now, I ♥ anything Amy Butler. I saw these on the wall and knew immediately that I must buy them and make curtains, valances and even Moxie's new dog bed out of them! I don't think you can see it, but the yellow on the sheets is the yellow on my walls!  Can you say thrilled? Oh, and not only that, but this nice lady just handed me her 20% off coupon! How cool is that? I can't wait to show you what I make out of these!

Oh, and one last thing … my drapery rods for the living room are antique white. And everything in the stores  these days is black or silver. I knew I wanted clips for the valances and have been unable to find any that wouldn't require spray painting (which I don't want to do). But I stumbled on these!

They are antique white - the same exact color of my drapery rods.  The cashier commented on them and I told her I just stumbled upon them. She said, "You wouldn't have found them if you had been looking for them!" So true. What a fun trip to the store this was! OK … I need to go work on my curtains now :)
